Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Behethland B. Clark responds to Steve Brenneis:

Well, she is doing herself and Liberals a disservice by assuming that we are all Secular Humanists. Talk about arrogant! There are many liberals who hold the beliefs and convictions they do because they feel that they are following the example of Christ. That is a fact. I find it very unfair to question someone's spiritual sincerity.

In all honesty, it is very hard not to take these types of arguments personally. I have had my religious beliefs called into question many times based on my political beliefs. I wish I could respond directly to this woman.
