Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Newsweek Apologizes for Report of Koran Insult

A not-very-apologetic apology from Newsweek. What do you get when you mix yellow journalism with the "religion of peace?" Answer: dead people. I wonder how many protests we'll see with signs saying, "Newsweek lied, people died?" Does anyone think moveon.org will decry Newsweek editorial policy with shouts of "Not in our name?"

I'm not holding my breath.
