Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Behethland B. Clark responds to Steve:

There's no questioning that less air pollution is a GOOD THING! Yes, stronger rays may increase global warming, but I would argue that when the ozone layer is functioning properly (and it has begun to repair itself) we are provided a natural sun filter. We need to give nature a chance to re-balance herself.

I for one welcome the rays!
