Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Bill Moyers' rants won't be missed

From Hendersonville Times-News:

Some of you might not have noticed, but the quality of programming on public TV had a slight up-tick about six months ago. Bill Moyers, a former Democratic lackey in the Johnson administration, and Democratic hack thereafter, finally retired from his lifelong mission of spreading the gospel about the evilness of Republicans. Well, at least he retired from that part of the mission that was being subsidized by U.S. taxpayers on PBS.
