Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

What Kind of Conservatism Will Lead Us Forward?

Patrick Hynes holds forth on flavors of conservatism. In my opinion, there are no flavors of conservatism. You are either a strict constitutional constructionist and, therefore a conservative, or you're not. Until we get a core of these people in our government, the conservative movement is little more than lip service and our slide into socialism continues apace.
