Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Peace Through Victory

I personally believe the only way to achieve peace is through victory, with war sometimes being necessary to achieve that peace. For example, the only way we achieved peace with Germany & Japan was with our victory in WWII. ... We ended the Cold War with the "Peace Through Strength" approach. ... I do agree with your thoughts here, Strother: "In fact, continual peace doesn’t exist and never will. Peace is impossible. You can only strive to create less conflict, practice what you preach, fight just wars when necessary, and move on."
