Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Democrat light

Hey Steve: Sadly, you're right... Specter is a representative of today's GOP. Not only did Dubya support him over Pat Toomey, but so did Rick Santorum... Santorum will probably pay the price for that support for Specter next fall when he's up for re-election.

You'll like this, Steve: Bush is going to do a fundraiser for Mr. RINO (a.k.a. Sen. Lincoln Chafee of Rhode Island.)

Since Bush isn't your president, who is your president, Steve... Buster Robertson??? Barry Lawson??? Virginia Foxx???

Thumbs Up
