Re: Rolling Stones Kick Off Tour in Boston
The Stones followed "Start Me Up" with "You Got Me Rocking," "Shattered" and "Tumbling Dice," before playing "Rough Justice," a song from their upcoming album, "A Bigger Bang."
That's a great first five, by the way.
Jagger, 62, appeared as spry as ever, strutting across the giant stage stretching from left to right field... The band took the stage around 8:25 p.m. and played a 22-song set that lasted about two hours.
If anything, a Stones show doesn't reveal how old they are, just how 'old' others their age (and many that are younger!) seem to be. A 62 year old man rocking harder (and better) than most 20-something musicians can? That's awesome and admirable. As far as I'm concerned, it's hard to complain about any aches and pains when a man my dad's age can entertain thousands on stage for hours better than I ever could. It just goes to show that 'age' is mostly in the mind.
