Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Storm Clouds for the GOP?

I agree there are storm clouds for the GOP, but my opinion is the storm clouds are due to the GOP trying to become "Democrat Light." Take Ohio: the GOP pretty much controls everything there, and the only things they have done is raise taxes out the ying-yang to grow the government. Conservatism wins every time it's tried... too bad some of the GOP don't believe that anymore. :-(
