Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Agency ignored most cries of fraud

And these are the same people George Bushevelt is going to give $200 billion to.

Delilah Blanks is one of those rare Democrats who seems more interested in making government work than in acquiring power. She was one of the few County Commissioners from Eastern NC with whom I actually enjoyed holding a conversation, meaning she was one of the few Democrats from that side of the state whose brain actually works. Her politics are completely wrong, but you have to admire her for this.
