Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

RE: Me Right, You Wrong!

"These two articles (What is the Liberal Left and What is its Goal? and What is Conservatism?) best illustrate that in American vernacular, the true meanings of both words ‘liberal’ and ‘conservative’ have been lost."
Yeah, you're right about that (losing the true meaning of 'liberal' and 'conservative'). Personally, I want to be called a "constitutionalist." That fits my line of thinking...

"People don’t talk about the nuances of issues affecting most Americans. They talk about this sort of divisive ‘me right, you wrong’ crap."
That's politics, always has been, always will be. Now, I believe if one makes a 'me right, you wrong' point, they better have the facts to back them up.
