Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Bush blinked...

Personally speaking, this choice sucks. Now, Miers might make a great justice; the problem is nobody knows. If he wanted to nominate a woman, he had Edith Jones, Priscilla Owen, and Janice Rogers Brown he could have nominated. Bush has lost his nerve, to be honest. In short, Bush is a wimp.
