Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Judge Alito is Qualified and Conservative, Expect a Filibuster

Democrats would likely pay a political price if they attempt a filibuster, but they are desperate. Panic is setting in as they realize to get their agenda pushed through, they may actually need to win some elections and use legislation instead of relying on liberal courts to write law from the bench.
