MoveOn.org Targets Alito as a 'Threat'

The expressed goal of the drive is to collect at least 250,000 signatures on the petition, which expresses the sentiment: "The nomination of Samuel Alito poses a grave threat to the protections Americans count on, including basic workers’ rights, women’s rights, and civil rights. We call on the Senate to stand up for all of us and reject the nomination of Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court of the United States.”
