Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

And that's just fine. There is nothing wrong with having nice things and working hard to get them. What isn't okay is being selfish and full of pride and letting material things take over your life. When you put your own desires above the needs of others, you have sinned. Again, Ayn Rand was not a Christian, so she did not have those values.
