Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

RE: Letters to the Editor

*Sigh*

I guess it's pretty much a sure thing, now. Ron Carroll is going to run for Commissioner. Stokes County won't be fit to live in if he gets elected.

On the other hand, I hope he runs and gets elected. I'll have a letter to the editor in the Stokes County fishwrap every week. By the time I get done with Ronnie-boy, he'll wish he had changed his name and moved to San Francisco.
