Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

RE: KING FUNERAL TURNS POLITICAL: BUSH BASHED BY FORMER PRESIDENT, REVEREND

It was pretty classless, but what else would we expect from the classless, angry old man Carter has become? But Bush gets what he deserves. He never seems to learn that the more he appeases and kowtows to the race pimps and class warriors, the more they hate him. Some people will think that Bush's attendance was brave and principled, but the truth is that it was politically motivated and really just a dumb move.
