Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Personal Freedom?

...the viewpoints listed above are about taking the path of least resistance toward increasing, not decreasing, personal freedoms and equality for as many U.S. citizens as possible.

You'll pardon me if I don't get too excited about the idea that baby murder might be expressed as furthering personal freedom or equality.
