Plan To Move Students Upsets Stokes County Parents

Monday evening's 'Big Story' on local NBC affiliate WXII Channel 12:

Plan To Move Students Upsets Stokes County Parents

DANBURY, N.C. — Parents are at odds with school leaders who plan to take students with disciplinary problems and mix them with students at another campus. The Stokes County School board voted to move students from Meadowbrook Alternative School in King to a building at North Stokes High School in Danbury.
School leaders said the move is necessary because they can't afford to build new schools. They said the move will happen next year. Parents told WXII 12's Damany Lewis that they will take the issue to county commissioners.
