Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

RE: LET'S SAY I BROKE INTO YOUR HOUSE...

I received this 'editorial' as an e-mail FWD a couple of days ago. That particular version included an extra rant at the end: "If you agree, pass it on (in English). Share it if you see the value of it as a good simile. If not blow it off along with your future Social Security funds."

…which begs the question — who’s counting on Social Security funds?

But anyway, continuing with this allegorical train of thought… Attention affected homeowners! Immediately lock your doors and build a fence, then stop worrying about making your bed, washing the dishes, doing the laundry, sweeping the floors, or doing the yard work anymore!
