Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Of course it is.

"And Pelosi's faux piety is pretty disgusting. I imagine we'll have to get used to that in the same way we did video of the Clintons going to and coming from church."

Isn't faux piety, regardless of source or setting, pretty disgusting? From what I observe, it's well represented on both sides of the aisle in Washington...
