Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

RE: A look at Pelosi's voting record

These voting record scores are so ridiculous as to be sublime.

On the liberal side, pols are scored on how hard and fast they can toss the country toward complete Socialist Marxism. Someone like Pelosi has more influence on how the country is headed than a whole handful of Foxx's or even Pence's.

On the conservative side, pols are scored on how many times they bounce when they are tossed off any initiative to slow down the slippery slope or how deep are the fingernail marks in the hide of the socialist beast. Any conservative with a high score is doing almost nothing the affect the direction of the country and all his or her actions amount to is knocking a little polish off the apple.

It is so lopsided, I wonder why anyone bothers.
