Saving a Mill

Stokes County leaders have made some strong strides in recent years toward developing a tourism industry, and they're now making another good push in that direction with their efforts to save an old grist mill. Those who can should lend financial support to this project - which could ultimately bring in tourist bucks... it could join Hanging Rock State Park, the Dan River, Moratock Park with its historic iron furnace and other attractions to make the Danbury area an even more attractive destination.
...the Stokes board of commissioners has pledged $100,000 to this project over the next five years, and a private investor says he'll match their pledge. Other individual donors should help out as they can, because $400,000 is needed to buy the mill and its property and spruce it up.
