Outpatient clinic for veterans proposed in Stokes

KING (Winston-Salem Journal) - Bob "Crow" McGee, a retired U.S. Air Force master sergeant, is an optimist - a believer, he said, that soldiers returning from war deserve better than an overcrowded medical center.

McGee, 76, who is also a board member of the Stokes County Health Services Alliance, is pushing for a community outpatient clinic in Stokes County that will serve veterans in five counties.

The proposed clinic could include basic medical care and treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder and other psychiatric problems, he said.
