Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

RE: The Republicans’ Hispanic Delusion

So here we have the horrid underbelly of partisan politics exposed in all of its terrible glory. No discussion of what is good for the people or the nation. No discussion of principles. Only naked Machiavellian manipulation. Triangulation for the purpose of keeping the elites in power.

And politicians wonder why people think they are scum.
