Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Virginia man gets 'absolute pardon'

RICHMOND (AP) - Gov. Timothy M. Kaine has issued an “absolute pardon” to a man who spent nearly 10 years on death row and came within nine days of being executed for a murder he did not commit.

This is scary... I wonder if we have ever executed an innocent person before.
