The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. GOP Sen. Larry Craig Quits Romney Campaign After Revelation of Arrest in Sex Sting

MINNEAPOLIS (Fox News) — Sen. Larry Craig, R-Idaho, quit Mitt Romney's presidential campaign Monday night after a Capitol Hill newspaper revealed that the Republican pleaded guilty to a charge stemming from a June arrest during a sex sting at a Minneapolis airport men's restroom.
