Bully Pulpit
The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

From National Review Online:
By the way, with all the commotion around Huckabee's Christmas ad, a reader informed me yesterday that Huckabee was a week late – Ron Paul released his own "Merry Christmas" ad last week. I don't believe it actually aired anywhere – please correct me if I'm wrong – but Paul was apparently first in the "Merry Christmas" contest. And he has tons of money to show it everywhere, if he wants.
