School Has Plenty of Money it Can't Spend

STOKES COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) – Nancy Reynolds Elementary School was a state-of-the-art facility when built in 1924. Like many buildings in the Piedmont, it was built with money from the R. J. Reynolds family. The Reynolds Endowment provides $40,000 each year for maintaining grounds surrounding the school. Chad Tucker reports that money cannot be used for improvements to the school itself, a school desperately in need of repair.
