Walnut Cove is reviewing grievance

Former police chief wants to get job back, meets with manager

WALNUT COVE (Winston-Salem Journal) -
A grievance filed by Walnut Cove’s former police chief is being reviewed by town officials.

Barry Conaway filed the grievance after he was fired last month by the town’s manager. Conaway, who was the town’s police chief for about 15 years, hopes to get his job back.

As part of the town’s standard procedure after a grievance is filed, Conaway and his attorney met with Town Manager Homer Dearmin yesterday morning.
