The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. North Carolina Governor Offers $10G Reward for Information About More Suspects in Eve Carson Murder

DURHAM, N.C. (Fox News) — Chapel Hill authorities believe there could be other suspects who were accessories to the murder of University of North Carolina senior Eve Carson, and the governor of North Carolina issued a $10,000 reward in the hopes of getting more information.

Police released the announcement by Gov. Michael F. Easley this week, though the proclamation he issued is dated March 13.

"An intensive investigation ... has resulted in the arrest of two suspects, Demario James Atwater and Laurence Alvin Lovette Jr.," Easley said in his statement. "However, it is believed that further information may exist that could possibly implicate others as accessories after the fact.
