Stokes hires mental-health coordinator to help residents find services, providers

DANBURY (Winston-Salem Journal) - Stokes County officials have hired a mental-health coordinator to help mentally ill residents find service providers.

Stokes officials created the position last year after mental-health advocates urged commissioners to consider the position as a solution to what they called a failing mental-health system in North Carolina.

Angela S. Grubb will start work as a mental-health coordinator on Monday, officials said.
