Walker wants to focus on economic development, other issues

(The Stokes News) - County government is not the first experience in an elected office for Jimmy Walker, and he hopes that his background and the work he has done in the last four years will provide another opportunity to serve the citizens in the county.

Walker is running for re-election to the Stokes County Board of Commissioners, but, to make it on the November ballot as one of two Republican candidates being challenged by two Democratic candidates, he must successfully make it through the primary election May 6.
