Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Reagan accepts the GOP nomination...

I miss the political conventions of old, when you had the people wearing the funny hats, blowing whistles and air horns, with the families of the candidates and dignitaries sitting up on the stage that was high up in the air. On stage this night were three future presidents: Reagan, Bush 41 & Bush 43.
