Rush Limbaugh's Morning Update: Civil Idiocy
My friends, we have arrived at a potentially dangerous crossroads in the global warming hoax. Speaking at Bill Clinton's "Global Initiative" last week, former Vice President Algore said, "If you're a young person looking at the future of this planet and looking at what is being done right now... and not done... I believe we have reached the stage where it is time for civil disobedience to prevent the construction of new coal plants that do not have carbon capture and sequestration." His remarks were met with enthusiastic applause.
Now, there are 28 coal plants under construction in America, with another 20 permitted to begin construction pretty soon. Our nation's economic vitality and future depends on increasing -- not decreasing -- our supply of energy.
In addition, eco-terrorism is a real threat to our national security. It's already cost millions of dollars in property damage and lives, and requires significant law enforcement resources to combat. The anarchist movement is populated with the same kind of kook, fringe, violent nut-jobs that Algore is now inciting.
To placate disciples of Al Gore's global warming hoax, millions in the Third World face hunger and starvation from the soaring food prices -- a direct result of crops being used for bio-fuels. Riots have erupted worldwide, people have died, and now Gore wants to unleash an even greater wave of lawlessness and domestic terrorism? I mean, debate is one thing, but this decision to play with lives and private property to satisfy his megalomaniacal ego... when the earth is probably cooling because of sun activity, anyway? It's amazing.
