Stokes wrestles with fate of school

3 options weighed, including demolition

WESTFIELD (Winston-Salem Journal) - For 85 years, the Nancy Reynolds school has been an integral part of the surrounding community.

One generation after another has gone there -- first all the way through high school and now through elementary school. School secretary Regina Wood went there, and so did her grandparents. Members of the community have watched countless baseball games on the baseball field and countless basketball games in the school gym.

Members of the Stokes County Board of Education and superintendent Stewart Hobbs know how important it is to the community.
