Dangerous intersection being improved

(The Stokes News) - The Department of Transportation has begun work on a project at Clyde Amos Road on Highway 89 in Danbury. This site has become infamous as a dangerous cut-through route for North Stokes students trying to avoid school buses on their way to school. Sixteen-year-old Sonia Luster was killed there in September 2008. Her mother erected a sign at the construction site, thanking DOT for making this intersection safer.
