Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Tapper to Gibbs: How Can You Have A Bipartisan Bill When It's Not Even Partisan?



Good question by Jake Tapper... How can Obama get support among Republicans when he can't even get total support among his fellow Democrats? Keep in mind that Obama doesn't need one Republican vote for this to pass.
