Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. MSNBC Host: ‘I Believe Jesus Would Vote Yes for a Public Option’



"Now, I have been referring to the health care reform deal as the real moral issue of our time. I believe Jesus would vote yes for a public option, but some Bible thumpers don't see me eye to eye on this one."

If I am one of those bible thumpers that don't see eye to eye with him ... He is not the only one. I tend not to see eye to eye with any claim of non scriptural moral authority to promote a socialistic system ... The first thing that comes to my mind is the socialistic theocracy created under the claim of moral authority by Jim Jones; who also claimed God's word outside of scripture, and directed criticism against those who disagreed.
