Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Video: Obama claims the US did nothing on emissions before 2009

(By Ed Morrissey, Hot Air) - Barack Obama spoke to the UN this morning on the topic of climate change, in part to take credit for pushing the US towards the state-run energy paradigm that Europe has begun to regret. After the obligatory “no one before us had the wisdom to think we could change the weather” opening, Obama makes a couple of odd — and eminently refutable — claims about his presidency:
