Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

CNN Guest Says Limbaugh Victim of ‘High-Tech Lynching’



"There are people out there - especially some St. Louis sports writers - who don't like Rush Limbaugh's politics. And they make up quotes. And do anything they can do to besmirch the man, to defile him, so they make it as awful as possible so that the NFL says, 'This is too toxic. I don't want to touch it.'"
