Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Nancy Pelosi: Change Is Coming To American Healthcare Regardless Of Mass. Election

(By Greg Hengler, Townhall.com) - First and most important: [Nancy] Pelosi looks like she has not gotten much sleep nor had enough spare time to visit her "cosmetologist." Second: Besides giving the middle finger to the people of Massachusetts/America, I think she chose the closest option with these remarks -- probably, too, because of her lack of sleep.
