Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Palin to join Fox News as contributor, reports say

(The Hill) - Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) has signed with Fox News as a contributor, according to reports.

Palin will join Fox's team to provide regular insight and analysis on the network.

It's not clear how much Palin's contract with the network will be worth, or for how long it will last. A Fox spokeswoman did not immediately return an email seeking details.

The move provides Palin with a platform to sound off on the latest political issues, especially as she stays in the mix of potential 2012 Republican contenders for the White House.
