Bully Pulpit

Rush Limbaugh's Morning Update: Payoff

Rush Limbaugh: Democrats have struck another backroom deal to secure passage of their health care takeover. After meeting with President Obama, union members expressed displeasure with Democrat plans to tax their "Cadillac" health care plans as a way to pay for the federal takeover. Threats were issued. Unless there were changes, unions might not be willing to help out in the November elections.

So, within 24 hours, AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka, Service Employees International Union head Andy Stern, and the Auto Workers Union's Ron Gettelfinger had a sit-down with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. Shortly thereafter, unions had reportedly "tentatively struck a deal" that would "exempt collectively bargained healthcare plans" from this new tax.

Now, keep in mind: The autoworkers union already got billions in handouts in the Obama auto takeover -- not to mention the big money from the porkulus slush funds that undoubtedly have been steered to Big Union.

But that wasn't even enough. Now those of you Americans with above-average health care programs are going to be stuck with a massive punitive tax -- 40% -- to pay for the health care takeover, while another group of Democrat supporters and donors get a free ride.

The US Senate has already been turned into a cheap bordello to get this bill passed, and now the House is being turned into a third-rate whorehouse. But the only ones getting screwed are American citizens who can't pay off any friends (if they have any left) in the Democrat Party. Bend over.
