Bully Pulpit

Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

T. Boone Pickens: I’m only asking for $10 Billion. That’s peanuts!

(The Right Scoop) - Those must be some mighty fine peanuts! There are a couple of times in this video that Pickens doesn’t have a good answer for why he isn’t moving his ideas through the private sector. I mean, you’d think with the allegation that he just wants tax payer money, subsidies, that he’d have a better refutation that simply ‘that’s not true’ or ‘you have to get it started.’

I’ve never really followed Pickens, but his performance on this show leads me to think that he’s not being very honest with the American people, especially when the statistics that he quotes are from groups like the Sierra Club or John Podesta. These are people in the ‘green job movement’ that Van Jones is championing, and Jones has openly admitted his desire to redistribute wealth with these green jobs. This doesn’t inspire confidence.
