Rush Limbaugh's Morning Update: Extremes

Rush Limbaugh: When President Obama paid a visit to Senate Democrats to give a pep lecture, he encountered Arkansas Senator Blanche Lincoln, who was not in the mood for happy talk. During the Q&A, she asked Obama to take on "people at the extremes" of both parties -- especially Democrats "who want extremes."

Those would be the Democrats whom Obama chief of staff Rahm Emanuel recently called the "f[-ing r-words]."

But the grief didn’t stop there, my friends. Senator Lincoln then took dead aim at Obama himself. She quoted a constituent who believes nobody in the administration "understands what it means to go to work on Monday and make a payroll on Friday."

Obama's answer was to blame Bush. Here's his cockamamie reply: "If the price of certainty is for us to adopt the exact same proposals that were in place for eight years leading up to the greatest economic crisis since the Great Depression, the result is going to be the same." And then he tried to mollify her by saying: "Blanche is right that we sometimes get bogged down in ideology."

Just last week, Obama claimed he's not an ideologue. This week -- different crowd -- he gets "bogged down in ideology." (Must be Bush's fault.)

But Blanche, you're trying to have it both ways: You voted for the "extreme" liberal policies you are suddenly against, and that's why your approval rating is 27 percent -- and it's why, come November, you'll be making payroll outside of the Senate, honey. (No intention to be disparaging, sweetie.)
