The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Ann Coulter Speech Canceled Over Security Fears



(Toronto Sun) - Police were called by the university to assist after students of all political stripes descended upon the auditorium to hear the talk — some of them lining up for more than two hours in the rain — only for it to be canceled a half-hour after it was due to begin.
