Bully Pulpit
The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

I heard this last night and became immediately scared. This is what the future holds for this country. The government will demonize an industry, like insurance, oil, banking, Wall Street. Then they will control them and take them over to make them a governmental utility. All for the "good" of the people, since all those industries are "evil."
