The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Paper: 4th Grader Caught with Pot

MOUNT AIRY, N.C. (WGHP) - An elementary school student in Surry County has been suspended after a teacher found marijuana on him.

The Mount Airy News is reporting a fourth-grader at Westfield Elementary was caught with a small amount of pot last week. The student's teacher said they noticed the boy acting strangely. When the teachers questioned the boy, the found the marijuana.

The sheriff's office is investigating to determine how the 9-year-old got the drugs.

The boy was suspended for 5 days as part of the school system's drug policy.
