Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Larry King Thinks Sarah Palin Should Pose For Playboy

(By Noel Sheppard; Newsbusters) - CNN's Larry King thinks former Alaska governor Sarah Palin should pose for Playboy.

Chatting with comedienne Sarah Silverman on Tuesday's "Larry King Live," the host brought up the liberal media's favorite conservative female target.

"We can't leave without asking you, my producers say I must ask you. Sarah Palin, what do you think?"

Without question, Silverman's comment was not as shocking as King's response (video follows with transcript, relevant section at 4:00):
